Betty Harper

Ware Shoals – Elizabeth “Betty” Idaliene Nalley Harper, 82, widow of Clayton “Clatie” Lamar Harper, of 139 Gettysburg Drive, died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Hospice of Laurens County – Hospice House.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Anderson and Katie Mae Maulding Nalley. She was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a member of the Women’s Ministry and The Singing Trio. She was retired from Riegel Textile Corp.

Surviving are: four sons, Billy (Dianne) Brown, Dewayne (Deborah) Brown, David (Billie Ann) Brown, and Sidney Lee “BoDean” Brown all of Ware Shoals, two daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Johnny) Henley and Cindy (Billy) Moore, all of Ware Shoals, her brother, Charles Labon (Rebecca) Nalley of MS, fifteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, August 22, 2016 at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Tony Irby officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a daughter, 692 Gettysburg Dr., Ware Shoals, and will receive friends Sunday from 5-7 P.M. at Parker-White Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
