Tommy "Chopper" Gambrell

Honea Path – Tommy “Chopper” Olin Gambrell, 72, of 557 Hwy 178 North, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Olin Woodrow and Ethel Kyle Sheand Gambrell. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Fluor Daniel Construction. He was an avid SC Gamecock fan.

Surviving are: two brothers, Eddie (Vickie) Gambrell and Marion (Jane) Gambrell, who were his special caregivers, all of Honea Path, a sister, Bessie Adams of the Cheddar Community, and several nieces, great-nieces, nephews, and great-nephews whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by two brothers, Riley and Billy Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.  Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Flowers accepted or memorials donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
