Born in Honea Path, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Alexander and Irene Pitts Smith. She attended Honea Path Church of God and retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co.
Surviving are: two sons, Robert Stanley “Sam” Atkins and wife Cathy and Barney Atkins and wife Shirley all of Honea Path; one daughter, Tammy Bruce and husband James of Honea Path; nine grand children and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one daughter, Carolyn McGaha and four brothers, Alton, Walt, Leon and Bill Smith.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd King and Rev. Charlie Driggers officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Saturday prior to the service at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The family is at the home of a daughter, Tammy Bruce, 6395 Keowee Road.
