Dorothy Jones

Reno, NV - Dorothy Anglee Driver Jones, 81, widow of William Milton Jones, formerly of Honea Path, died Wednesday April 15, 2015 at Whispering Willows Group Home in Reno, NV.

 Born in Belton, she was a daughter of the late John Jackson and Maybelle Landers Driver. She was an amazing wife, mother, and friend, and a member of First Baptist Church of Woodbridge, VA.

Ms. Jones is survived by three daughters: Angela Jones Matthews of Powhatan, VA, Sandra Jones Hill and husband Charlie of Reno, NV, and Beverly Jones-Sicilia and husband Michael of Reno, NV; one brother: J.C. Driver and wife Judy; two sisters: Betty Bannister and husband Lamar and Mildred Pruitt; and six grandchildren: Jacob Matthews, Jessica Matthews, Charlie Hill, Sydney Hill, William Sicilia and Madison Sicilia.

She was pre-deceased by one son: Jeffrey Jones; six brothers: George Driver, John Harvey Driver, Norman Driver, Mack Driver, Billy Joe Driver, and Marion Driver; and two sisters: Faye Ellison and Jenny Driver.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Garden of Memories, with Rev. Carroll Plemmons officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM Friday evening at the Bethany Baptist Church activity building. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research, 110 East 42nd St., 16th Floor, New York, NY 10017, or at www.alzinfo.org/donate.
