Elizabeth Haynes Canales

Ware Shoals – Elizabeth Sims Haynes Canales, 89, widow of Joe Canales, formerly of 365 Balentine Lake Road, died Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Petra Nursing Home in McCormick.

Born in Greenville county, she was a daughter of the late James Lifty and Annie Bell Tumblin Sims. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corp, She was twice married, first to the late Lewis Ellis Haynes.

Surviving are a son, Lewis Harold Haynes and wife Lyn of Ware Shoals, three brothers, Pelham Sims of Fountain Inn, J.W. Sims of Pelzer, and Horace Sims of Gloucester,Va., five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Hans Wunch officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
