Dana Banister

Honea Path – Dana Pruitt Banister, 93, widow of Jesse James (Bill) Banister, of 116 Brook St., died Thursday, February 26, 2015 at her home.

 

Born in Anderson County she was a daughter of the late Olin Moffett and Lola Kay Pruitt. She was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery for many years. She was retired from Metric Shirt Co.

Surviving are two daughters, Shelby Hopper and Beverly Green, both of Honea Path, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren, and a special dog, Harley. She was pre-deceased by her husband, a son, Roger Banister, a sister, Hattie Todd, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Debbie Dooley, 307 Heyward Ave., Honea Path. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
