Louise H. Phillips

Ware Shoals – Louise Hall Phillips, 88, widow of Harrison Bennett Phillips, of 197 Ballentine Lake Rd, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 when her heart failed.

Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Furman James and Grace Gambrell Hall. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from Huggins Garment Co. and Small World Nursery. Mrs. Phillips demonstrated her love and care for her family and others all her days. She loved cooking Sunday dinner for her family and truly was the thread that bound her family together.

Surviving are: a son, Billy (Jeanie) Phillips of Honea Path, two daughters, Linda (George) Estes and Jan (Danny) Wells all of Ware Shoals, five grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Crawford, Scott (Crissie)  Phillips, Alan (Stacy) Estes, Chad (Tobie) Wells and Jason (MaKenzie)Wells, seven great-grandchildren and special friends, Jimmy and Sherry Weathers. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Patsy Ann Phillips and a sister, Rose Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Hans Wunch officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and Jimmy Weathers.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W.
