Ellen Martin

Honea Path – Ellen Virginia Fleming Gambrell Martin, 79, widow of Clyde Martin, formerly of 537 Elizabeth St. Ext. died Saturday, August 9, 2014.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Burt and Ola Todd Fleming. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and retired from the Anderson County Summary Court. She was twice married, first to the late Billy Ray Gambrell.

Surviving are: her son, Steven Ray (Cindy) Gambrell of Honea Path, three brothers, Elmer (Jean) Fleming of Abbeville, Louie (Edna) Fleming of Honea Path, and Dwayne (Thelma) Fleming of Possum Kingdom, a sister-in-law, Judy Fleming of Honea Path, two grandchildren, Blake (Brittney) Gambrell and Ross (Cheri) Gambrell, all of Honea Path, and a great-granddaughter, Audry Gambrell.

Funeral services will be held at 3p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.

The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends 1:30 – 3 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chiquola Baptist Church, 405 E.
