Betty Rosser

Donalds – Betty Jean Gillespie Rosser, 82, widow of Ted Rosser, of 8303 Highway 184, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at NHC of Greenwood.

 

 

Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Eldred and Sadie Thomason Gillespie. She was a member of Donalds Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Surviving are: two sons, William (Diane) Rosser of Honea Path, and Teddy Joe Rosser of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Sherry Hall of Donalds, a sister, Linda (Robert Earl) Richey of Honea Path, and a grandson, Brian Rosser.

She was predeceased by a brother, Terry Gillespie, a sister, Martha Gillespie, and a daughter-in-law, Anita Rosser.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Archie Sharpe officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home of a son, 508 Friendship Church Rd, and will receive friends 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donalds Baptist Church, 269 E. Main St, Donalds, SC 29638 or Shriner's Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
